Make your budget go further this Christmas!
Ahhh yes, it’s almost that time of the year again… The most pun-derful time of the year....
In order to save you from a pandemonium in the kitchen on Christmas day, we’ve compiled some tips on preparing for the big day (and we’ve added some cringey Christmas puns too). Enjoy!
Christmas Lunch & Dinner
If you haven’t planned your Christmas lunches and dinners well in advance, you can rest assured they’ll end in chaos. So for your safety, we’re here to help.
To stretch your budget further this year (and to make sure you have plenty of leftovers for boxing day and give yourself a day off cooking), make sure to grab as many catering essentials from your nearest Golden Circle Factory Outlet. You’ll be knocked off your santa boots by the amount you’ll save.
Try grabbing some canned fruits and herbs, spices and oils to add to your Christmas meats and some frozen veggies that are much more affordable than regular room-temp veggies. You can also grab some canned fish for the seafood lovers in the family and some pasta and sauces if you know a pasta-lover.
To keep the kids happy
We know kids can get restless, especially on Christmas when excitement levels are through the roof. Just “believe in your elf” and follow these helpful hints to a successful and manageableChristmas day.
Keep the kids happy with some fizzy soft drinks (so they don’t feel left out while you’re drinking the adult bubbles). Make sure there’s plenty of chocolate, lollies and nuts the kids and guests can ho ho ho into during the day to avoid getting impatient between meals. And for safety measures, stock the freezer with lots of ice creams and ice blocks for the fussy kids that turn their noses up to the Christmas pudding.
Dessert
The best part of the day (in our opinion) - Dessert.
Chocolates, lollies and nuts are a must. Stock up on tea and coffee so you can cater to any guests needs. And of course, to leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve!
Christmas Night
So what do you do when you realise someone has had one too many rum balls? You do the right thing of course and make up a bed. But wait… You haven’t prepared for guests staying the night and have completely forgotten to get extra toothbrushes, deodorant etc. How rude-olf you. Luckily, you’ve made it to the end of this blog as a reminder to head to Golden Circle Factory Outlet and grab all of your Christmas needs for a bargain!
And there you have it, your guide to Christmas Day on a budget. A round of Santa-plause, please.
